Poteau Public Schools Safety & Security Department

Poteau Public Schools maintains a continual focus on the safety and security of our students, employees, and facilities. Safe schools mean a more relaxed and secure learning and teaching environment, resulting in greater classroom success.

The PPS Safety and Security team strive to stay ahead of campus security trends and implements tools and processes that enhance the student and visitor experience, whether that’s inside of a classroom, or at one of our multiple athletic facilities. 

PPS employs two resourse officers to help manage the safety and security of our facilities. Officer Lamb, and Officer Reed are certified in various divisions of weapons and narcotics and they are loved by students and employees alike.
